These are the failures that actually come up, in roughly the order they happen:
- Sending the same resume abroad. The photo and date of birth that are normal here will hurt a US, UK or Canadian application.
- A scanned or image-based PDF. Indian IT recruiters use applicant tracking systems too, and a scan is unreadable to them.
- Listing every school grade for an experienced role — recent work matters more.
How it works
The form is built from a country rule set, not a single template with a different heading. Choosing a country changes which fields exist: the Gulf and German builders ask for a photo, date of birth and visa status, while the US, UK, Canadian and Australian builders do not offer those fields at all — because supplying them there does measurable harm.
The preview beside the form is the actual document. It renders as you type, and the download is your browser printing that same HTML to PDF. That matters more than it sounds: the alternative approach — drawing the resume to a canvas and wrapping the image in a PDF — produces a file that looks perfect and contains no text at all. An applicant tracking system reads it as an empty page. Printing keeps a real text layer, so the resume parses.
Your data is held in your browser's local storage so you can come back to it. It is never sent to us. The one exception is the AI summary draft, which sends only your job title and role list to generate two or three sentences.
A measured run of this builder

Those personal fields are the point. The same builder set to the United States offers none of them, because supplying a photograph or a date of birth there can get a CV discarded before anyone reads it. Here their absence is what looks odd.

It is common and rarely counts against you, particularly for fresher and campus roles. Multinationals hiring to global standards may prefer none.
What is a biodata?
An older format weighted towards personal details — date of birth, father's name, marital status — still requested by some employers and for matrimonial purposes. This builder covers the personal fields; add anything else the specific employer asks for.
Will this work for government job applications?
Government and PSU applications usually mandate their own form, which you must fill exactly. Use this for private-sector applications.
Will the PDF pass an applicant tracking system?
