How to use this tool
- Choose your image, drag it onto the box, or paste it from the clipboard. JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC all go in; JPEG comes out.
- There is nothing to set. This page is already fixed at under 50.0 KB, JPEG.
- Download from the panel, which shows the original size, the final size and the output dimensions. Nothing was uploaded at any point.
Every commission publishes its own numbers, and they change between cycles. Rather than guess which preset matches your exam, read the two lines from your own notification — the pixel box and the KB range — and type them in. The defaults shown are the common bank-exam photograph spec, 200 × 230 pixels at 20–50 KB.

Exam Photo and Signature Resizer — Any Size: why uploads get rejected
Landing under 50 KB is necessary but not sufficient. These are the reasons a file that meets the size still gets sent back:
- You are guessing at the specification. Read it off the notification or the upload page itself — numbers copied from a coaching site are frequently wrong, and a rejected form costs a cycle.
- The range is impossible for your image — a detailed colour photograph cannot always be squeezed under 20 KB at 600 × 800. The result panel says so rather than quietly handing you an oversized file.
- You need a physical size in centimetres. Multiply by the DPI the form asks for: 3.5 × 4.5 cm at 300 DPI is 413 × 531 pixels.
How it works
Most compressors pick a fixed quality level and hope for the best, which is why they either overshoot the limit or land far below it and throw away detail you did not need to lose.
This tool runs a binary search instead. It encodes your image at a mid-range quality, measures the resulting file, then narrows the range — higher if there is room, lower if it is over — repeating seven times. It keeps the largest result that still fits. If the lowest quality is still too big, it reduces the pixel dimensions and searches again.
All of it runs on your own device using the browser's canvas API. Nothing is transmitted.

Exam Photo and Signature Resizer — Any Size — frequently asked questions
Why not just use a page for my exam?
Use one if it exists — the preset pages carry the specification and the quirks for that commission. This page is for the many exams that have no preset, and for when a notification revises its numbers. It is also the safer option: specifications published on third-party resizer sites contradict each other often enough that typing in the figure from your own notification is more reliable.
My form gives centimetres, not pixels.
Multiply the centimetres by the DPI, then divide by 2.54. At the usual 300 DPI, 3.5 × 4.5 cm is 413 × 531 pixels and 5 × 2 cm is 591 × 236. If the form states a DPI, use that one instead.
What does the minimum field do?
Exam forms usually give a range such as 20–50 KB, and a file below the minimum is rejected just like one above the maximum. Most resizers only handle the ceiling. Setting a minimum tells the tool to stop compressing once the file is inside the range.
What if it cannot hit my range?
It tells you, and says why — usually that the image is too detailed for that few kilobytes at that pixel size. Reducing the dimensions is the fix, since removing pixels is the only reliable way to make a photograph smaller.
Should the background be white?
Most Indian exam forms require a plain light or white background for the photograph. This tool fills transparency with white, but it will not replace a cluttered background — retake the photograph against a plain wall if yours is busy.
How do I resize my photo for the Exam Photo and Signature Resizer — Any Size form online?
Upload it to the tool at the top of this page. It is already set to the Exam Photo and Signature Resizer — Any Size specification, so there is nothing to configure — select your photo and download the result. Everything happens on your device, so it works even on a slow connection near the application deadline.

Your photograph is never uploaded. That matters near a deadline: the work happens on your device, so it does not slow down when the portal does, and it works on a weak connection — how that works.
