Why uploads get rejected
Meeting the size is only part of it. These are the failures that actually come up:
- A file is in an unsupported format — only JPG and PNG can be embedded.
- The photos are very large, so the PDF is too. Compress the images first if there is a size limit.
- The pages came out in the wrong order — files are added in the order you select them.
How it works
This operation edits the PDF's internal structure directly with pdf-lib. Pages are copied, reordered or annotated as objects — nothing is re-rendered or re-encoded.
That makes it lossless: text stays selectable and searchable, images keep their original quality, and file size barely changes. It runs entirely in your browser.

Does this reduce image quality?
No. Your JPGs are embedded exactly as they are, with no re-encoding. The PDF is therefore roughly the combined size of your images.

Compress the images before converting, or run the finished PDF through a PDF size target page.
