How to use this tool

Most failures here are not about the document itself but about how it was produced. The ones that actually come up:
- The PDF is password-protected. Remove the password in your reader first.
- The text landed in the wrong place — adjust the percentages. 10% / 90% is near the bottom-left, 50% / 50% is the centre.
- You need to change text already in the PDF. This adds new text; it cannot edit existing content.

Can I edit the text already in my PDF?
No, and the reason is worth knowing: a PDF stores text as individual positioned glyphs, not as editable paragraphs. Changing existing words means reflowing everything around them, which is what full desktop editors do. This tool adds new text on top.
How do I position the text?
Percentages from the top-left. 10% across and 10% down is near the top-left corner; 50% / 50% is the centre. Try once, look at the result, and adjust.
Can I add a signature image?
Not directly. Convert your scanned signature to a PDF page with the image-to-PDF tool, then merge it in.
Does this reduce the quality of my PDF?
No. The page objects are copied across rather than re-rendered, so text stays text, images keep their original encoding, and the result is visually identical to what went in.
What happens to bookmarks, links and form fields?
Page content is preserved exactly. Document-level features such as bookmarks, internal links and form fields may not survive a structural edit, so check the output if your file relies on them.
Can I process a password-protected PDF?
Not while it is encrypted. Remove the password in whatever application you normally open it with, then process the unprotected file here.
What "editing" a PDF can and cannot mean
PDF was designed as a final format. It records where every glyph sits on the page, not the paragraphs those glyphs belong to. That single fact explains most of the frustration people have with PDF editors.
Adding to a PDF is straightforward: text, an image, a signature, a page, a stamp. All of that is drawing on top of what is already there, and that is what this tool does.
Changing what is already there is a different problem. Replacing a word in a justified paragraph means re-flowing the line, which means knowing the font, the kerning and the paragraph boundaries — information the PDF may not contain. Tools that advertise full text editing reconstruct a guess at that structure, and the result often shifts spacing or substitutes a font. Where the original document still exists, editing it and exporting again will always give a better result than editing the PDF.
